ESSEX HIGHWAYS (POSTED 11 JAN)

Advance notice - Road closure for drainage works on East Road, West Mersea.
Essex Highways are planning to carry out surface water alleviation works to help remove surface water ponding issues on East Road, West Mersea. Works are due to start on Monday 6th February 2023 and expected to take four weeks to complete.

In order to carry out the works in a safe manner, it will be necessary to close a section of East Road. A local diversion route will be in place during the temporary road closure.
Access to properties located within the road closure will be maintained, however depending on the work taking place there may be a small delay while Essex Highways make the works area safe before access can be granted. During non-working house the site team will ensure there is an access route for residents within the closure.
There may be times when driveway access is restricted within the closure. If required the on-site team will help residents with alternative parking arrangements.
To view information about these works and others in your area, visit: https://one.network.
Essex Highways appreciate these works may cause temporary noise and inconvenience to local residents for which they would like to apologise.
Please note that the work programme may be subject to change if the works are affected by poor weather or if unforeseen issues arise.
Essex Highways would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation whilst they carry out these essential works.
