National HIV Testing Week is a campaign to promote regular testing among the most-affected population groups in England. Regular testing helps to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.

Coffee with Cops
Mersea Library, 13 High Street, West Mersea
Time: 2pm to 3pm
Join Essex Police for a cup of tea or coffee (other soft drink will also be available) and get to know some of the police officers and staff, who are protecting and serving the community. Essex Police representatives will be available to listen to your community concerns and answer your questions about local policing.

Visit stalls and hear from operational police officers around the work they carry out in rural communities.

SATURDAY 11TH MARCH

Fraud Prevention Presentation
MICA Centre, 38a High Street, West Mersea (back hall)
Time: 11am
West Mersea Community Police Officer, Constable Bryant, has arranged for a member of the Essex Police Fraud Prevention Team to come into the Community, to deliver a presentation on the subject. With fraud prevalent today in many different forms, including phone, email, text, internet and door to door scams, this event is aimed at raising an increased awareness on the subject within our community.
The MICA has kindly offered to provide the venue for this event, so thanks to Tim Gannon for helping to put on this event.
The event will be held in the back hall of the MICA, however, it is anticipated that there will be limited spaces on the day, so please look out for future updates.
This event may be of particular interest to carers, relatives and others that hold a position of ward for vulnerable members of our community.
