From Mandarins to Commissars - China in the 20th Century

A series of 90 minute illustrated lectures by David Prynn, lecturer in History at Suffolk College and the Open University.
The course looks at China's turbulent history in the late 19th and 20th centuries and how, despite this violent legacy, it has regained its position as a major world power to become the largest economy after the USA.
No prior knowledge necessary.
10 week course.
Enrolment 9.30am in the small hall, thereafter 10am each Tuesday.
